- 2 cups soft brown breadcrumbs
- 50g unsalted butter, melted
- 3-4 Granny Smith apples, sliced
- 40ml (2 tablespoons) lemon juice
- 1 lemon, rind grated
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Method
- Step 1 Preheat oven to 180°C. Combine breadcrumbs and butter. Sprinkle apples with lemon juice and rind, sugar and cinnamon. Layer half the apples in 4 ovenproof ramekins and cover with half the crumb mixture. Repeat. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for 20 minutes. Serve with cream or ice-cream.
