  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • Sea salt flakes, to serve (optional)

  • 1 large avocado, stoned, peeled
  • 1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder
  • 2 tbs maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

  • Step 1 Place the date and 1 cup (250ml) water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil over low heat. Stir in the bicarbonate of soda. Transfer to a bowl and set aside to cool to room temperature.
