- 2 x 25cm baguettes
- 125g butter, softened
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh oregano leaves
- Pinch sweet smoked paprika
Method
- Step 1 Preheat oven to 240C/220C fan-forced. Cut bread into ten 2.5cm-thick slices, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Step 2 Combine butter, garlic, parsley, oregano and paprika in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Spread mixture over each side of each bread slice. Wrap each loaf in foil.
- Step 3 Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until butter is melted and bread is crisp.
