- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1kg lean beef mince

- 2 x 400g cans diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh oregano leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- Step 1 Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 4 minutes or until onion has softened. Add mince. Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up mince, for 10 to 12 minutes or until browned.
- Step 2 Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes, oregano and cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes or until thickened.
