- 1 vanilla bean, halved lengthways, seeds separated
Method
- Step 1 Peel the pears and halve lengthways. Use a melon baller or teaspoon to remove the core from each pear half. Cut the pear halves in half lengthways.
- Step 2 Combine the pear, apple juice, vanilla bean and vanilla seeds in a medium saucepan. Place over medium-high heat and bring to the boil. Cover the surface with a disc of non-stick baking paper. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes or until the pear is tender.
